Message from
Christine Whitman

Throughout my career I have looked for common sense solutions that reflect good public policy. The protection of our precious natural resources in a way that enhances economic growth has been a major focus of those efforts. The Whitman Strategy Group gives my partners and myself a continued opportunity to promote that ethos.

Expertise makes a difference.

An Update from The Whitman Strategy Group
After an historic and contentious election, the voters have spoken, and Joe Biden will be our next president. The Whitman Strategy Group will continue to monitor any legal challenges, but we don’t anticipate that the results will change. We hope and pray for healing in our divided country and look forward to a renewed confidence in science and our governmental institutions. As the transition unfolds, we will continue to engage with regulators, the private sector, and all our partners to ensure that our work remains on track. We anticipate a flurry of activity at the federal level prior to the inauguration and will keep you informed of key issues and developments.
We expect the Biden Administration to have a robust environmental agenda and recommend engaging early on priority issues. Since it looks very possible that the Republicans will retain a majority in the Senate, legislative action will be challenging, and we expect a focus on executive powers. For example, we anticipate that President Biden will immediately sign an executive order recommitting the U.S. to the Paris Climate Accord and will work quickly to undo the many environmental regulatory “rollbacks” of the Trump Administration.

We will be closely tracking key personnel changes, new policies and programs, and opportunities for strategic partnerships and engagement. Please don’t hesitate to contact us if we can be of assistance as we embark on this new chapter in our country’s history and prepare for a new era of environmental progress.
